MA HOBY has an active alumni association! We have at least one event every month throughout the year. The majority of these events are service projects to help other non-profit organizations be successful in their activity. We have established the reputation of being reliable, positive and hardworking volunteers who are being sought by other organizations.
So far this year, we have 4643 hours of service to other non-profit organizations in MA which according to federal guidelines for the worth of a volunteered hour equating to a donated value of $134,647.. In addition to this, the total number of volunteer hours for staff training and staff service at the 2016 seminar was 4560 hours equating to a donated value of $132,240. Note, this does not include all of the pre-seminar planning and preparation hours. Let’s set a new record for service in the 2016/2017 program year!
In addition to our organized service hours that MA HOBY has logged at our alumni events, we have instilled and motivated our alumni to donate thousands of hours in service on their own or through other organizations including their schools.
In the 2015/2016 program year, the MA HOBY volunteers logged 9,032 service hours equating to a value of $251,270.
In the 2014/2015 program year, the MA HOBY volunteers logged 8,073 service hours equating to a value of $217,971.
In the 2013/2014 program year, the MA HOBY volunteers logged 6,777 service hours equating to a value of $185,893.
In the 2012/2013 program year, the MA HOBY volunteers logged 6,697 service hours equating to a value of $179,747.
In the 2011/2012 program year, the MA HOBY volunteers logged 5,422 service hours equating to a value of $141,948.
In the 2010/2011 program year, the MA HOBY volunteers logged 4,530 service hours equating to a value of $119,229.
Life with HOBY begins after the seminar. There are many excellent opportunities to get involved locally in Massachusetts with the alumni association, and nationally and internationally with HOBY International.
